Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Our Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) are conducted in accordance with ASTM E1527 standards to identify recognized environmental conditions (RECs) that may indicate the presence of hazardous substances or petroleum products.

ECI environmental assessment practices:
  • Records Review: Historical aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, and property tax records
  • Regulatory Database Review: Federal, state, and local environmental databases
  • Site Reconnaissance: Visual inspection of the property and adjacent properties
  • Interviews: With property owners, occupants, and local government officials
  • Vapor Encroachment Screening: Assessment of potential vapor migration pathways
  • Comprehensive Report: Findings, conclusions, and recommendations

Our Phase I ESAs provide clients with valuable information for due diligence, property transactions, and risk management, helping them qualify for landowner liability protections under CERCLA.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

When a Phase I ESA identifies potential environmental concerns, our Phase II ESA services provide a more detailed investigation to confirm or rule out the presence of contamination.

Our Standard Phase II ESA Process:
  • ECI provides standardized subsurface assessments on potentially contaminated properties
  • ECI implements ASTM E1903, the trusted standard for subsurface investigations
  • ECI's subsurface investigations ensures accurate data, regulatory compliance, and allows informed decisions
  • ECI's subsurface investigations reduce risk and increase stakeholder confidence
  • From soil & water analysis to complex chemical profiling, our laboratory provides cutting-edge instrumentation with expert insight to provide fast, accurate, and defensible results
  • With precision, reliability, & scientific excellence, our analytical chemistry laboratory delivers actionable data our clients can trust
  • Our laboratory leads the charge on PFAS in groundwater detection
  • Cutting-edge LC-MS/MS technology for precise quantification of legacy and emerging PFAS compounds
  • Combatting the forever chemicals with forever accurate testing
  • Rapid turnaround time with reliable data

Our Phase II ESAs provide clients with the data needed to make informed decisions about property transactions, remediation requirements, and risk management strategies.
